Congratulations on Your Upcoming Graduation from UW Oshkosh!

To celebrate the significant academic achievements of our graduates, each spring and fall we host commencement. These ceremonies, steeped in tradition dating back hundreds of years, are formal events complete with pomp and circumstance.

At UW Oshkosh, we celebrate commencement in May (9 a.m. and 2 p.m.) and December (9:30 a.m.). While the ceremonies are not mandatory, candidates for graduation are encouraged to attend commencement. Graduates may invite as many friends and family members as they like: there is no guest per graduate limit and tickets are not required (unless guests require special seating accommodations outside the bleacher area).

Students do not need to fill out a special form to participate in the ceremony. Students who apply for graduation with the registrar's office and follow the commencement checklist will have done all that they need to do to participate in the ceremony.

This website contains all of the information graduates need to know to prepare for commencement and make it a memorable event. Please browse these pages and share the details with family and friends. Also, plan to visit the commencement open house, Countdown to Commencement, on Wednesday, March 5 (noon  to 6 p.m., Reeve Memorial Union) to take care of all of your remaining commencement needs in one place at one time.

Congratulations!
