Dr. Tracy Slagter

Tracy Slagter is Assistant Professor of Political Science and the Interim Director for the First-Year Experience in our new University Studies Program. She earned her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Iowa in 2006 and specializes in European politics and international law. While she is fortunate to travel to Europe with some frequency for teaching and research, her favorite place to be is the classroom. She is the recipient of the 2012 Edward Penson Distinguished Teaching Award, served as a Wisconsin Teaching Fellow, and is motivated by good thinking, excellent writing, and excited students. When she is not in the classroom you'll find her at home where her husband and two sweet children make every day a joyful one and are endless sources of inspiration.

Dr. Rachelle Lancaster
Rachelle Lancaster is an assistant professor in the College of Nursing. A UW Oshkosh Alumni, graduating with her bachelors degree in nursing, she went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from Marian College in Fond du Lac and her PhD from UW-Milwaukee before finding her way back to her alma mater.
Dr. Lancaster's teaching in the College of Nursing reflects her multiple areas of expertise including pharmacology, medical/surgical nursing and international clinicals. Her research centers on medication management and safety, human patient simulation in large classroom settings and nursing work-around activities. She is also a Nursing Supervisor at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh.
Dr. Lancaster is an active member of Altrusa International, an organization of professional, executive and business persons whose focus is to improve the quality of life through community service projects. She is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
