Positions available
The commencement office is currently recruiting student workers for the upcoming spring commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 17, 2008. The ceremonies will be held in Kolf Sports Center on the UW Oshkosh campus.
Below is a brief description of the positions available:
- Ushers hand out programs at the start of the ceremony and help seat guests with special seating needs, including those with disabilities.
- Registration Workers greet graduates, distribute name cards and honor cords.
- Parking Attendants help guests find parking in various lots.
- Marshals line up graduates, lead them upstairs and direct them to the appropriate seats. Throughout the ceremony, marshals assist in directing graduates and guests.
Other assignments include platform party room attendants, stage marshals, and ticket window ushers. All commencement workers will be expected to help with the set up and take-down of these ceremonies.
The pay is $10 per hour for all positions. You will be paid for all the set-up, training and ceremony hours. Applications are available online (online form). Please indicate a preference on your application, however, the commencement office will make final assignments based on staffing needs and experience.
If you have not already held a position on campus, we will also need you to complete the appropriate student employment paperwork prior to the training date. Please contact us to schedule an appointment. Also, please download forms and bring these as well as appropriate ID with you to your appointment.

4. Selective Service (form) All males must fill out this form.
