CAPP Chem Field Trip to UW Oshkosh Campbellsport High School


Students of the CAPP Chemistry class took a field trip to UW Oshkosh May 20, 2010 to perform a lab using UW Oshkosh’s facility. It gave the students a feel of how a lab at a college differs from labs here at Campbellsport, and also to meet the professors who teach the course at the university, and use equipment that the chemistry class does not have here.....................Read more..........

Three teachers with local connections have won the 2010 Herb Kohl Foundation Fellowship awards. Chrissy Makurat of Omro Elementary School, Kathryn Riederer, of Webster Stanley Elementary School and John Dobyns of Oshkosh, a teacher at Freedom High School, were winners of the fellowships. According to Herb Kohl Foundation Web site, educators are selected for the fellowship for "their superior ability to inspire a love of learning in their students and ability to motivate others, and for their leadership and service within and outside the classroom." Each teacher chosen receives a $1,000 award and each fellow's school also receives a $1,000 grant.
