Successes, sacrifices of UWO veterans shared in stories
On Veterans Day 2011, click through this sampling of UW Oshkosh Today links that spotlight a year’s worth of amazing stories of personal courage, determination and, sometimes, loss. They help relay the experience of our campus community’s current student veterans and alumni who have served, or are serving, in the U.S. military.
As ever year is, 2011 has been a busy one for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, with the dedications of a biodigester and a new academic building, the bustle of ongoing construction, record numbers of degrees conferred and strong, continuing enrollment totals.
What often gets lost are the day to day headlines chronicling the campus community’s strides toward stronger support of military veterans here and the personal stories of success and sacrifice that our UW Oshkosh student veterans and alumni openly share.
