War: Through Her Eyes
Take an up close-and-personal look at the wars in the Middle East through the eyes of an award-winning reporter. Please join us for a special talk and slide presentation by Meg Jones, a reporter from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

As an embedded reporter Jones has traveled to Iraq four times and Afghanistan three times to report on Wisconsin troops. She visited Iraq in 2003, twice in 2005 and 2008 and traveled to Afghanistan in 2006, 2009 and this past July and August.
Jones, a native of Wisconsin, earned a BA in journalism and history at UW-Madison. She has worked as a journalist at USA Today, the Milwaukee Sentinel and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Jones taught news writing at Marquette University and was a Pulitzer finalist for explanatory reporting in 2003.
After the talk, attendees are encouraged to stay and visit with Jones in the Wisconsin Room (next to the theater).
War: Through Her Eyes is part of the War: Through Their Eyes series, which involve stories and podcasts about the war experiences of UW Oshkosh students, faculty, staff and alumni.
