The recital feature is titled ANIMUS a brainstorm composed by Luca Francesconi.  It is the most important composition written for trombone in the last 15 years.  It pays homage to Jacob Druckman, a hero of electroacoustic music.  ANIMUS is a brilliant composition that most effectively indulges the audience in a new complex world of electronic and live manipulated sounds.  Thursday’s performance is the United States premiere.

The program also highlights three other living composers who write music that is lush, personal, and beautiful.  I hope many of you are able to attend.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for non-UWO students,

$1 for children under 12, and free to UWO Students with an ID
