With 35 majors spanning the sciences, arts, humanities and social sciences, the College of Letters and Science (COLS) is the largest and most diverse college at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.

Through a multifaceted liberal arts education, students are exposed to a broad spectrum of knowledge about human experience and the natural world. Transcending preparation for specific careers, COLS prepares students with communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential for success in today's society.

New North B2B cover features UWO student work

Students in Don Stolley’s art department photography course earned more than just a grade this past semester. The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students were divided into four groups to create photographs for a chance to have theirs displayed on the cover of the June edition of New North B2B magazine. While only one cover photograph could be selected, all groups will have their work displayed in the magazine.

UWO prof delivers 'Preaching That Matters' book

Each Sunday, many of the 40 million Americans who attend church are hoping to hear a sermon that will inspire them to make meaningful change in their lives. But 95 percent of all sermons offer explanation or commentary with no call for change, said University of Wisconsin Oshkosh communication professor Lori Carrell.
