Accelerated Online Bachelor's to BSN Program
Technology Requirements
All theory courses are offered online. In addition, some components of the clinical courses are completed online. All written assignments are completed in Microsoft Word and submitted to the instructor via a Dropbox on the course site. A reliable computer with up to date software is absolutely necessary for the Accelerated Online BSN Program.
The following are the MINIMUM computer requirements:
- Windows VISTA or Windows XP (service pack 2), or Macintosh OSX. (not Windows 2000)
- Microsoft Office for Windows 2003 or newer. Powerpoint software (not just a Powerpoint reader) is necessary to fully access the “lectures” in many courses.
- Virus Protection (free download on our website if student here ) https://titanfiles.uwosh.edu/groups/ACS/index.html
- Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. Desire2Learn, the platform used for all courses, will not operate with a lower version of Internet Explorer.
- Cable, broadband or satellite internet access. Slower internet connections will impede downloading of course materials and timely exam completion.
- SECOND LIFE needs a high end video graphics card

AdobeAcrobat can be downloaded free at www.adobe.com. This program “reads” pdf files that are sometimes used for forms and other documents.
