ESTRELLA II receives $393,124 for year two of five-year grant
The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has received $393,124 for the second year of a five-year, $1.9 million grant from the United States Department of Education under the English Language Acquisition: National Professional Development Program for ESTRELLA II: Excellent Schools, Teaching and Research for English Language Learner Achievement. Kathy Henn-Reinke is project implementer and co-director.
ESTRELLA II trains currently licensed teachers, education students, as well as community members in methods and approaches that help English learners and bilingual students achieve academic success. The program also provides support to help bridge communication and relationship gaps between immigrant/refugee families and local schools.
