Every March, the departments of Curriculum and Instruction, Reading, Special Education and Educational Leadership at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services host the Planting the Seeds of Inclusion conference to help support inclusive education.
Please register on-site March 2nd.
Conference Registration Fee (includes lunch)
$60 Education professionals;
$30 Students, family members, caregivers, individuals w/disabilities
Free Community Resource Fair
Open to the public regardless of participation in the conference, the resource fair is intended as a one-stop resource for those who have or work with children who require special education services.
Keynote Speaker: Cheryl Jorgensen, PhD.
Dr. Cheryl Jorgensen is an inclusive education consultant in private practice, after being a Project Director with the Institute on Disability (IOD) at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), and assistant research professor in UNH’s Education Department from 1985 to 2011.
Dr. Jorgensen has worked with public school teachers, parents, and administrators to increase their commitment to and capacity for including students with disabilities in general education classes. For the past several years, her work has focused on the restructuring of policies, organizational structures, and teaching practices that naturally facilitate inclusion and learning for all students.
Breakout Sessions
Breakout sessions will provide practical information and training for educators, students, parents, caregivers and others who support the growth and learning of children from birth to age 22.
