All individually designed programs are flexible programs which allow potential candidates to transfer up to 9 credits previously completed from another institution to satisfy the 30 credit graduate program requirement. The credits can include courses from Educational Leadership, Educational Foundations, Special Education, and/or Literary and Language departments.

Additional information or academic advising, please contact the Teaching and Learning Department to schedule an appointment with the Graduate Program Coordinator.

Update for Master's Level students

Program changes that impact the MSE in T&L core course offerings are being discussed. Instead of offering “one size fits all” courses, topic specific and certificate-based programs are being explored.

Currently, the proposed MSE-T&L Elementary Education Emphasis program may substitute topic specific courses for the following core courses: Elem Ed 705 Curriculum Planning and Differentiating for Instruction and Elem Ed 716 Issues in PK-12 Education.
