Online Hybrid
Beginning Fall 2009
Nationally and internationally accredited, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh's Online Hybrid MSE – Reading Education Program integrates excellence in reading instruction with cutting-edge technology. Students have the opportunity to earn a quality degree from a well-respected university from the convenience of their homes.
Combining online and on-campus course offerings, the program provides a nationally-known faculty with a vast range of experiences, small class sizes and reality-based projects.
A 30-credit degree program, the Online Hybrid MSE – Reading Education Program can be completed within two years. Upon completion of the program, students are eligible for the Wisconsin 316 – Reading Teacher and/or 17 – Reading Specialist certifications.

The following courses are being offered summer '09 as hybrid courses:
- Reading 705, June 15-July 20 (Monday-Thursday), 8-10:50 a.m.
- Reading 765 July 12-August 5 (Monday-Thursday), 7:30-10:20 a.m. (face to face meetings T, W, TH)
If you have not taken graduate courses previously, you can register for this course(s) by completing the graduate registration form (pdf) and mail it to:

Dr. Simmons will approve your enrollment in this course(s) and forward the form on for processing. You do not have to be formally accepted into the MSE – Reading Education Program to participate in either of these core required courses. However, Reading 705 is a prerequisite for Reading 765.
