The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) is the governing body that issues licenses to individuals seeking to serve as professional school counselors in Wisconsin.
Beginning September 2010, individuals applying for a Wisconsin School Counseling License must receive a passing score of the Praxis II: School Guidance and Counseling Exam.
