The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh's Special Education Program prepares students to teach children identified with cognitive, emotional behavior or specific learning disabilities. Students may acquire licensure at the elementary and middle school level and/or middle school to high school level.
Graduates of the College of Education and Human Services' teacher education programs have a strong liberal arts background, a thorough grounding in their content area, and a comprehensive understanding of the art and science of teaching.
Completion of this program results in a Bachelor of Science in Education degree.
Students are guided throughout their program by a planning sheet specific to their major and minor. Program requirements are also listed in the Undergraduate Bulletin along with course descriptions.
