Early Adolescence through Adolescence (EA-A)

Age 10-21

Early Childhood through Adolescence (EC-A) in Art, ESL, Foreign Languages, Music or Physical Education

Birth–Age 21

The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh's Secondary Education Program prepares undergraduate students to teach in specific subject areas in middle schools and high schools (age 10–21). Certain majors — art education, ESL, foreign languages, music education and physical education — lead to licensure in the age range of birth to age 21.

Graduates of the College of Education and Human Services' teacher education programs have a strong liberal arts background, a thorough grounding in their content area, and a comprehensive understanding of the art and science of teaching.

Completion of this program result in a Bachelor of Science in Education, with two exceptions. The art education major leads to a Bachelor of Fine Arts and the music education major leads to a Bachelor of Music Education.

Degree Planning Sheet

Students are guided throughout their program by a planning sheet specific to their major and minor. Program requirements are also listed in the Undergraduate Bulletin along with course descriptions.
