Rowland Scholarship
The Rowland Scholarship is awarded to a second semester freshman woman majoring in Physical Education Teacher Preparation. Applications may be obtained in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education or see below. It should be completed and returned to Albee 108 by Monday, April 6, 2009. The total value of the scholarship is $900 and will be in disbursements of $125 each semester during the sophomore year, $150 each semester of the junior year and $175 each semester of the senior year.
To be considered, a student must have:
- A 2.75 GPA during the freshman year and each semester thereafter prior to the awarding of the scholarship for a succeeding semester
- An interest in and the ability to promote the field of physical education through extracurricular activities
- The personality to succeed in this profession
- Financial needs
