A nationally recognized program, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Physical Education Program prepares students to develop, teach and promote fitness and wellness programs that enhance the quality of life at every age.
An evolved curriculum that meets the advances of today's society and extensive hands-on teaching experience adequately prepares UW Oshkosh physical education graduates to work with individuals and diverse groups of students. Recent graduates have attained jobs nationwide, in states including Nevada, Arizona, California, Illinois, and Alaska.
Completion of the Physical Education Program leads to a Bachelor of Science in Education and prepares students for licensure to teach physical education to students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, as well as licensures in adapted physical education and school health education.
Students who wish to pursue physical education must apply and be admitted to the Professional Education Program. Once accepted, students will proceed through the Physical Education Program.
