Adapted Physical Education
Recently upgraded, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Adapted Physical Education Program meets the Wisconsin requirements for adapted physical education licensure and requirements in preparation for taking the Adapted Physical Education National Standards (APENS) Exam.
The adapted physical education minor provides students with hands-on, experiential opportunities to develop and teach adapted movement and activity experiences for people with disabilities. Recommended for students interested in teaching physical education to special education students in schools, the adapted physical education minor may only be obtained with a physical education K-12 teacher preparation major.
