The advanced practicum, a 2-credit field
placement required of all special education majors, provides an
additional opportunity for students to practice skills learned in
special education methods courses prior to student teaching. Advanced practicum is taken in conjunction with Spec Ed 480/680 Research-Based
Instructional Strategies OR Spec Ed 413/613 Assessment and Curriculum
for Children with Disabilities Ages 3-8.
Application for Advanced Practicum
To apply for advanced practicum, complete the application for either
Spec Ed 480/680 Research-based Instructional Strategies OR Spec Ed
413/613 Assessment and Curriculum for Children with Disabilities Ages
3-8. The application for Spec Ed 480/680 will be available on the door of the Office of Special Education, N/E 405, the week prior to the beginning of registration.
The application for Spec Ed 413/613 is available from Bonnie Green, Professional Education Program, NE 113. Applications may be turned in when a student is eligible to register
for the upcoming semester.
