Jim Harlan, District Administrator for the Weyauwega-Fremont School District, was visited on June 14, 2010.
We visited Jim Harlan, District Administrator for the Weyauwega-Fremont School District on June 14, 2010. Located about 35 miles northwest of Oshkosh, the Weyawega-Fremont district has an enrollment of approximately 963 students.
During our time together we discussed the process of change within a district and how difficult that process can be at times. In addition we talked about:
-
How the district can develop a strong partnership with COEHS.
-
The need to continue to review math and other curriculum areas through the COEHS/K-12 Advisory Council.
-
Cooperating teachers who are working with students from the College of Education and Human Services must complete a course in supervision of student teachers, which is offered in online, hybrid and face-to-face formats.
-
The Add-on Licensure program from the EXCEL Center, which provides a professional development opportunity for teachers to obtain additional licensure.
