On May 28, 2010 we drove to Oakfield to visit Joe Heinzelman, District Administrator of the Oakfield School District.
Located seven miles south of Fond du Lac, the Oakfield School District is a small rural district of 550 students. When we met with Joe Heinzelman, District Administrator we discussed:

Internet issues and solutions for rural schools.

The strengths and challenges of newly hired teachers who have graduated from the College.

Positives of the Rural Schools Initiative and how we can make it stronger.

EXCEL Center programs – Add On Licensure and Accelerated Careers in Teaching (act!).

Professional development for staff in areas such as Special Education.
