Bob Kobylski, District Administrator for the Menasha Joint School District, visited the College of Education and Human Services on July 16, 2010. Our discussion with Bob involved:
-
ESL and bilingual instruction, including a program being developed with the Ashwaubenon School District.
-
The EXCEL Center’s Add-on Licensure program and how it is beneficial to districts.
-
How cooperating teachers must complete a course in supervision of student teachers. The college offers this course in online, hybrid and face-to-face formats.
-
The COEHS/K12 Advisory Council and the Math Placement Test Review that the Council has undertaken.
-
The possibility of the Menasha School District and the college working together to benefit K12 students through additional cooperative programs.
-
That the college now offers a preparatory course for National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. The Menasha district may have some teachers interested in this course.
