Stanley Larson Scholarship

Scholarship amount for the 2014-2015 academic year TBD.

Application

This scholarship, founded in 2003 in memory of Stanley Larson, is an effort by his family to acknowledge his passion for teaching and literature. Throughout his 38-year career at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Stanley was recognized by both colleagues and students as committed to making a difference to his students and their futures. In addition to teaching composition and literature, Stanley served as department chair.

Stanley always looked for 'one special student' that he could nurture and to whom he could impart his knowledge about writing and literature. His infectious enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of books, writing, and literature made him a much sought after instructor and exceptional lecturer.

In an effort to perpetuate Stanley’s life’s work and to hopefully continue to reach that 'one special student,' the family of Stanley Larson has chosen to establish this scholarship fund.
