For University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumnus Corey Baumgartner ’02, MS ’05, hard work and diplomacy have fueled his success as a teacher, coach and educational administrator.
UWO’s College of Education and Human Services graduates approximately 275 education majors each year who soon move on to teaching in school districts across Wisconsin and the nation.
Teams of general and special educators are developing specialized units during this week’s Science Teaching through Universal Design and Inquiry (STUDI) program at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh College of Education and Human Services. For teachers, the program introduces them to a range of new lesson ideas and approaches and features one very up-close-and-personal introduction to the human brain in an anatomy lab.
Once an at-risk student himself, University of Wisconsin alumnus Ron Schreier ’68, MSE ’70, ’72, has spent a large portion of his career helping at-risk teens gain their confidence, overcome life’s obstacles, complete their education and live up to their full potential.
