Michael Ford, a professor in the College of Education and Human Services, will deliver the keynote address at the 2010 Chiwaukee Academy, Aug. 9-13, at UW-Parkside.
Teachers from across the region share strategies for teaching writing June 24 at the Fox Valley Writing Project’s summer institute at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Project co-directors Donald Hones and Kathryn Henn-Reinke received $299,924 for year four of a five-year, $1.45 million grant from the Office of English Language Acquisition in the Department of Education.
“We serve the Lighted School House because of the need.” Kelli Saginak, Associate Professor and School Counseling Coordinator of UW Oshkosh (UWO) said. “The children need us to provide them enrichment and relationships. Our [UWO Counseling] students need them to teach about children, diversity, and the needs of young people in the schools.”
