Brief Bio:
I taught introductory courses in educational research, measurement and evaluations, and statistics when I first came to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1987. The courses that I currently teach are Educational Foundations, 12-235: Child and Adolescent Development, and Educational Foundations 12-380: Educational Psychology. Prior to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, I taught general psychology in junior college in Vancouver, Canada and also was a 5th grade teacher there for one year.
My areas of research interests include moral socialization and development and the development of students' achievement motivation. One of my research projects, supported by the Vander Putten International Fund, focused on cross-cultural comparisons between American and Chinese students' perception of favorite teachers, and how their perception might be related to their school achievement.
