Brief Bio:
Dr. Muwana is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Special Education at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. She holds a PhD. in Special Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her research interests include teacher education, collaboration between general and special educators, issues surrounding access to the general education curriculum, and the development of cross-cultural understandings in multi-cultural settings.
Dr. Muwana’s experience as a K-12 teacher spans from Zambia where she worked as a general education high school teacher. In the US, Dr. Muwana has taught special education in inclusive elementary school settings, serving students with high incidence disabilities.
