Estrella (Excellent Schools, Teaching and Research for English Language Learner Achievement) Grant
|
Project ESTRELLA is a 5-year federal grant (2007-2012) designed to provide professional development for all those who work with English Language Learners. In Spanish ESTRELLA means "star." It also is an acronym for Excellent Schools, Teaching, and Research for English Language Learner Achievement. On this site you will find information about our grant activities, including tuition support of bilingual teachers, counselors and administrators, as well as teachers seeking an additional ESL license; funding support for family education programs sponsored by school districts and communities; our annual Language, Culture and Education Institute; and our Clearinghouse for Successful Practices in PK-12 Instruction for ELL Students. In addition, you can read about our faculty, check out syllabi for our courses, and read what current and former students have to say about Project ESTRELLA. We look forward to hearing more from you.
