4K Leaps

The 4K Leaps Program is a two-year program that provides teachers with in-depth knowledge and strategies to improve early literacy instruction. The goal is that, by the end of the program, students in the 4K Leaps program will meet or exceed the Wisconsin Early Learning Standards for listening, understanding, early literacy and math.

In the first year of the program (2009-2010), teachers developed curriculum modules based on the Creative Curriculum in the areas of listening, math and reading, and shared their modules with the workshop participants.

In the second year of the program (2010-2011), teachers will become Early Literacy Community Ambassadors for parents and selected community facilities.
