Business Scholars Program

This program recognizes high-achieving incoming students and offers immediate admission to the College of Business and exclusive opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

Incoming Freshmen and Transfer Students* with less than 30 credits.

You must meet two or more of the following criteria and submit a one-page essay explaining why you would like to be a part of the program, as well as indicate your current personal, academic and career goals.

  • ACT Composite score of 27 or higher

  • Rank within the top ten percent of your high school graduating class

  • High School GPA of 3.75 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)

*Transfer students also need a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale from their transferring institution.

NOTE: High-achieving students are expected to continue academic excellence. Students who fail to meet college of Business standards may have their admission rescinded.

Program Benefits

  • Register for classes during "Honors Day" Odyssey and receive a special welcome gift from the College of Business.

  • Attend a special reception with the Dean for students and their parents.

  • Exclusive meet-and-greet opportunities with Corporate Sponsors at the College of Business Networking Night, usually reserved for juniors and seniors.

  • Acceptance into the Emerging Leaders Mentorship Program.

  • Preferred access for company visits and job shadowing opportunities.
