Information Systems Club

Information Systems (IS) Club activities consist of meetings, tours and a banquet. The banquet, held once a year, gives students an opportunity to meet industry representatives and hear a speaker discuss relevant topics. Additionally, the club assists the UW Oshkosh Academic Computing Department with their annual computer fair. IS Club activities are open to all students.

A trip to Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, is the most recent field trip IS Club has taken. Their mission was to evaluate the infrastructure. They had a tour presentation of the park explaining their technology, shown the score board control room and server rooms. They were shown how players can look up information on any MLB player to learn individual strengths and weaknesses. After the tour, they got to go into the locker room, announcers booth, walked on the field and the dugout and bull pen.  See pictures of the trip on Flickr.
