Insurance Program

The Center for Insurance and Risk Management seeks to be the premier undergraduate insurance and risk program in the Midwest.

FINANCE 340, FINANCE 440*, FINANCE 441*

* FINANCE 440 & 441 cannot count for both the Finance Major and the Insurance Emphasis.

The Center for Insurance & Risk Management (The Center) develops students for careers in insurance and risk management. The Center is guided by an advisory council of insurance executives that assist in setting and accomplishing the mission, goals and objectives of the center. This is a professional development program to prepare students for careers in the insurance industry.

Program Highlights

  1. Coursework focuses on insurance and risk management  (Planning Sheet)
  2. Coordinated interactions with insurance professionals
  3. Preparation and support for certification (CPCU, CLU, CERA/FSA)

The vision of the UW Oshkosh Center for Insurance & Risk Management is defined in the following way:
     We seek to be the premier undergraduate insurance & risk program in the Midwest. Through innovative teaching,
     leading research and practitioner focused learning, the UW Oshkosh Center for Insurance & Risk Management will
     prepare, develop and support tomorrow's industry leaders.
