The UW Oshkosh Small Business Development Center specializes in helping business owners prepare the plans they need to successfully start or expand a business.
- Detailed plan for businesses requiring outside financing.
- Simplified plan for businesses requiring little or no start-up financing.
The following documents are used to gather the information needed to write either a detailed business plan or simplified marketing plan:
- Worksheets to determine if there is demand for your products or services
- Worksheets to determine if you can meet the market demand and make a profit
- Worksheets to build the team that you will need to start or grow a business
- Worksheets to prepare to seek outside debt or investor financing

Wisconsin Governor's Business Plan Contest
One of the best ways for entrepreneurs to attract investment capital for new product and service ideas is to take part in the annual Wisconsin Governor's Business Plan Contest. The UW Oshkosh SBDC has assisted a number of people reach the final round of the contest. The following are some materials from a webinar the center conducted on the topic:
