About Us
The UW Oshkosh Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and its Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) initiative are working to create and maintain a dynamic entrepreneurial environment in Northeast Wisconsin.
Established in 1980, the SBDC provides customized entrepreneurial development services, focusing on business counseling and training activities. As part of its counseling program, the center employs a staff of experienced business professionals who provide free counseling to companies with up to 500 employees.
Through the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation initiative, we can also provide services and education programs for high-growth entrepreneurs. In addition, the CEI is a pathway to the resources of the faculty, staff and students of the UW Oshkosh College of Business.
Partnerships & Collaborations
Located within the College of Business, the UW Oshkosh Small Business Development Center is a collaboration of the University of Wisconsin

In addition to being part of a national network of centers funded by the SBA, the UW Oshkosh SBDC is also one of twelve campus assistance centers and three specialty centers that make up the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center Network. That network, along with the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs' Network, is part of the University of Wisconsin-Extension's Division of Entrepreneurship & Economic Development.
To promote entrepreneurship in Northeast Wisconsin, the UW Oshkosh SBDC also partners with external organizations including economic development organizations and other business service providers.
