UW Oshkosh MBA Program announces international study tour destinations

The UW Oshkosh Executive MBA path allows professionals to earn an MBA in just 16 months. An integral component of this path is a 10-day international study tour spanning two countries. The MBA Program has announced the cohort beginning September 2017 is scheduled to visit Accra, Ghana and London, England.

Why Accra, Ghana and London, England?

Students will be able to experience business in Ghana, which was recently labeled as one of the fastest growing economies in the world (1). The Executive MBA path is strategically designed for the working professional, allowing students to take lessons learned and immediately apply them in their organizations. Students will visit a variety of successful businesses in each country and meet with C-suite leaders to learn about and consider alternative business methods that may be applied in their organizations once they return.

The United Kingdom is a major international trading power and shares the world’s largest bilateral foreign direct investment partnership with the United States (2). London, England is the capitol of the United Kingdom and is known for being the political, economic and cultural capital (3). Students will also gain relevant insight related to the “Brexit” transition. This experience will allow students to learn about the broader economic, political, social and cultural influences and how they impact business practices.
