2014 MBA Awards Announced
Outstanding Graduate Award
The 2014 Outstanding Graduate Award is for eligible MBA students that graduated in the Summer 2013 and Fall 2013 semesters, or will graduate in Spring 2014. The nomination process allows current MBA students and professors to nominate students, along with self-nominations. The selection criteria is based on those who demonstrate classroom excellence, strong community involvement and are active in advancing their profession. This year, members of the MBA Alumni Advisory Board have chosen two recipients of the 2014 Outstanding Graduate Award.
Stacy Clark, Fall 2013
Stacy is currently a Project Manager for Oshkosh Corporation. Along with earning her MBA, she recently became a Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She is also a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Stacy’s long-term career goal is to start an event planning business that focuses on fundraising events for families facing financial hardship due to medical expenses. Stacy graduated with a GPA of 3.786 and was nominated by her fellow student, Dilnoza Jumaeva.
Nathan Edward Taylor, Fall 2013
Nathan works for Bemis Corporation as a Product Development Engineer. Nathan is actively involved within the community and volunteers for Boy Scouts of America and is a Sunday school teacher. He also participates in community outreach programs. Nathan hopes to broaden his career by expanding into areas outside of research and development. He is especially interested in strategic marketing and sales management. Nathan graduated with a 3.936 GPA and was nominated by Professor Ben Arbaugh.
Outstanding Faculty Award
The 2014 Outstanding Faculty Award is for eligible MBA faculty that have taught in the program in the past 5 years. Those who have received the award in the past 3 years are ineligible. Current MBA students were able to nominate a professor for this prestigious award based on his/her teaching style, academic support and overall excellence teaching online or in the classroom.
The 2014 Outstanding Faculty Award goes to B.S. Sridhar, known by students and colleagues as “Sridhar”. He currently teaches Strategic Management, International Business and Organizational Leadership and Change. Sridhar was nominated by current MBA student and graduate assistant, Dilnoza Jumaeva.

MBA Scholarship Award
The MBA Scholarship Fund was established by the Alumni Advisory Board for current MBA students who have financial need and excel in the classroom. Scholarship funds have traditionally been raised through fundraising initiatives done by the MBA Program Office, with the support of alumni and students.
This year, a $500 scholarship is awarded to Carolyn Mieliulis. Carolyn is an independent contractor and full-time MBA student. Carolyn has a current GPA of 3.37. We’re proud to help Carolyn continue her education and reach her career goals.
This year’s award selection subcommittee consisted of the following Alumni Advisory Board members; John Carrier, Scott Kurilla, Michael Patton and Sherrill Revolinski. All 2014 Award Recipients will be recognized at the 2014 Professional MBA Graduation Celebration on Friday, May 16 at the Best Western Premier Waterfront Hotel in Oshkosh.
