Graduating This Semester

Commencement questions? Visit the UW Oshkosh Commencement website.

We make a notation in our database when you register for your last credits of course work and send an all-MBA student email with graduation information during the first month of the semester. If you think you should be graduating in the current semester, but would like verification, please

The online application for graduation can be found on the Graduate Studies website.

The official graduation date is the last day of 17-week semesters (fall and spring) or the end of eight-week summer classes. For official dates, please view the University semester calendars.

The Graduate School will send your diploma and an official degree transcript six to eight weeks after the official end of the 17-week semester. If you haven't received your diploma and transcript by that time, please

Admission to Candidacy
The Graduate School Bulletin states that graduate students are required to be admitted to candidacy by the appropriate department after earning nine credits (not including foundation courses) and before completing 21 credits. Admission to candidacy requires the student to be in full standing, have completed all foundation courses or equivalents and have met departmental requirements.

The candidacy paperwork is automatically prepared by the MBA Office as soon as the student is eligible, and a copy forwarded to the student from the Office of Graduate Studies.

Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma is the national honor society for AACSB-accredited Schools/College of Business.  Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest scholastic honor a graduate student in business can earn.  Graduate students in the top 20 percent of their graduating class (Summer, Fall and Spring) are eligible for membership.  We will notify you in February if you are eligible for Spring induction.
