Special Student Status
If you are in the process of applying to the MBA Program and would like to take some Level I (foundation) courses prior to admission, or are taking foundation courses in pursuit of a Business Foundations Certificate, you can start with "special student" status. Any student taking MBA classes, regardless of status, must have official transcripts on file. If you would like an evaluation of undergraduate transcripts to determine which foundation courses you will need to complete, visit this Web page for instructions.
Read the special student registration procedures below, print and fill in both pages of the special student application/registration form (no application fee required) and mail/fax to:
UW Oshkosh College of Business
800 Algoma Blvd
Oshkosh, WI 54901
Fax: (920) 424-7413
Special Student Registration Procedures
Print the two-page special student registration form (PDF format).
(Please Note: Special students must receive grades of B or better in all foundation courses.)
Find current semester class offerings of foundation courses on the current class schedule grid and details on the current semester class detail page.
Place the required course information at the bottom of the registration form (first page, boxed area).
Mail, fax or e-mail the completed registration form to the MBA Office. Make sure both pages of the registration form are completed and signed. Page two must be completed during your first registration only; subsequent registrations do not require the completion of page two.
Have an official transcript showing degree conferral and date awarded, sent directly from all of the undergraduate institutions you attended. This needs to be received by the MBA office before your registration form will be processed. If your undergraduate degree was from UW Oshkosh, you do not need to supply a transcript.
Special student registration forms will be processed after admitted students have registered. You will be sent an e-mail confirmation after your registration has been processed.
As a special student in subsequent semesters, you may request classes by filling out the first page of the Special Student Registration form or by sending an email request to Terry Rapp. Continuing special students do not have to submit the second page of the registration form.
