Library Access
Remote Access and ID/Library Cards
(Students must be enrolled in class and have a TitanCard to check out items from campus libraries.)
Remote Access
Polk Library on the UW Oshkosh campus has implemented a service that allows enrolled UW Oshkosh students to remotely access most article databases. These databases include:
- Lexis Nexis Academic Universe
- Proquest
- Ebsco
- Wilson
- FirstSearch
The direct link to the library's home page is www.uwosh.edu/library. We recommend that you select the link 'Especially for Students' from the right menu. Please review this page since there are some items of importance that are not on the graduate page. Notice at the upper right corner of the student page, there is a link Especially for Graduate Students.
(Please Note: The information above is intended solely for the use of enrolled students, faculty and staff.)
If you have any problems accessing the databases above, please contact Renee Buker at Polk Library.
ID/Library Cards
Oshkosh: Please note: ALL admitted MBA students are eligible and strongly encouraged to obtain a UW Oshkosh TitanCard. The TitanCard is an ID/Library card as well as a debit card for copy machines, vending machines, and food service at Reeve Union. This permanent ID card identifies you as an admitted UW Oshkosh student and is valid only for semesters in which you are registered. The Titan Card is required for library material check-out and may be necessary for some computer lab access at UW Oshkosh.
Students receive a Titan Card once they are admitted to the MBA Program at no cost. If this card is lost, damaged, or destroyed, the replacement cost is $20.00. The Titan Card may also be obtained in Reeve Memorial Union; for hours of operation please visit the Titan Central Web site. If you have any questions, please call the Titan Card office at (920) 424-1234.
Stevens Point: To check out library materials at UW-Stevens Point, you can use a UW Oshkosh Titan Card, a Portage County library card or you can obtain a "Non-U Card" from UWSP. Since UWSP has a reciprocal borrowing agreement, you should be able to take advantage of most of the library privileges given to resident students. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Library Circulation at (715) 346-2540.
Green Bay (UW-Green Bay Cofrin Library): To check out library materials at UW-Green Bay, you can use a UW Oshkosh Titan Card or students may acquire a Co-op Card. Co-op cards are available at the Circulation Desk in Cofrin Library on the third floor. Picture identification will be required to obtain a Co-op card and check out privileges are available immediately.
