Background

Dr. Kothari earned both her Ph.D. in Business Administration and a Master in Tourism and Hospitality Management from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. She has a Bachelors of Commerce from Mumbai University, India. Her research focuses on understanding the competitive advantage of Emerging Nation Multinational Firms (EMFs) using unique research methods like computer-aided text analysis.

Prior to joining UW Oshkosh she was an assistant professor at the Fox School of Business, Temple University. Additionally, she has held management and research positions with international companies like Thomas Cook India Ltd, Philadelphia Marriott, National Laboratory of Tourism & eCommerce, and Melrose Hotel Co. She has also been awarded several grants and scholarships for her excellence in teaching and research.
