Background
Dave earned his BA degree in Sociology at UW Oshkosh where he also participated in both basketball and football for the Titans. He has over 20 years of nonprofit experience with several national organizations such as Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters and YMCA’s as well as several smaller organizations. Dave is looking forward to working with alumni and donors to help showcase the College of Business’s beautiful Sage Hall and to ensure that the financial needs of students and faculty are met to help maintain a high standard of educational programs.
Major Accomplishments
Raised over 13 million dollars for various charities
Directed a $7.5 million dollar capital campaign to build two new YMCA's in Door County
Raised funds to purchase over 10,000 acres of land in Brazil and built two eco tourism camps on the property
Selected as Midwest Advisor for Boys and Girls Clubs of America
Established a new Boys and Girls Club in Wisconsin Rapids with 800 kids participating in the first year
Motivational speaker that has shared powerful messages all over the country
Published author in the Chicken Soup for the Soul series
Received a brief try-out with the Green Bay Packers
Volunteer Involvement
Very active in local church activities and volunteers in a variety of areas
Enjioys coaching and mentoring kids in basketball and football
Enjoys sharing speeches with various clubs such as Rotary, Lions and Optimist clubs, Kiwanis clubs and other service clubs as well
