Office Hours

Background

Dr. Rau earned her B.S. in economics and her M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin Madison, Industrial Relations Research Institute. Prior to coming to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, she taught at Rutgers University in the School of Management and Labor Relations.

Dr. Rau is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations Research Association, and the Academy of Management. Her research interests include compensation, recruitment, work-life balance issues, and employee relations. From 1998-2008 Dr. Rau served on the Editorial Review Board of the Academy of Management Journal and won Best Reviewers Awards from the Academy
of Management Journal and from the Academy of Management, Management Education Division. She is a past recipient of the Dean’s Excellence Award and the MHR Teaching Award.

Dr. Rau is committed to the belief that human resources has a responsibility not just to organizations but to the people who sustain them.
