Background

Dr. Akinyele earned his B.Sc. in Statistics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria, his M.B.A from Rollins College, Winter Park, Florida, and his Ph.D. in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Central Florida, Orlando. Prior to joining the UW Oshkosh, Dr. Akinyele taught Principles of Managerial Accounting at the University of Central Florida, and Statistics at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi, Nigeria. He also worked at Deloitte in Lagos, Nigeria for five years and was exposed to various technical issues in accounting. 

Dr. Akinyele teaches both Cost Management and Essentials of Managerial Accounting at the undergraduate level. His general research interests are judgment and decision-making in managerial accounting, primarily focusing on issues related to incentive systems, management control systems, organizational culture, and value statements.
