Craig Culver Awarded BGS Medallion for Entrepreneurship

Craig Culver received the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion for Entrepreneurship.

Craig Culver graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1973 with a BS in Biology. After graduation, Craig began his career at McDonald’s.  Yet his experience in his parent’s eateries moved him to want to own his own restaurant with his own brand.  Between 1976 and 1984, Craig, his wife Lea and his parents opened several restaurants before opening the first Culver’s in Sauk City.

Since then, the Culver’s name has become synonymous with good food and an award-winning franchising concept that is hands on and people-focused.  From the beginning, Craig and Lea Culver have given back to their community and clearly deserve to be honored for both their entrepreneurship and for their contributions to encouraging the entrepreneurship of others.  Congratulations Craig!
