The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation along with the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization both offer business concept competitions to provide student entrepreneurs exposure to new customers, partners, and investors. Prizes and awards are granted in the expectation of accelerating and elevating students' businesses to successful status.

90 Second Elevator Pitch

The Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization (CEO) holds an annual competition for students to pitch their business concepts to UW Oshkosh alumni. Student businesses can vary from a concept that has been recently developed to an operating business in need of capital. A Grand Prize of $1,000 is awarded each year by the club. Along with the prize money CEO invites local investors to attend as well in hopes of great student businesses being awarded more funding. To enter the competition please email  your contact information and a brief summary about yourself and your business concept. 

Shark Tank Style Business Concept Competition

The Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation holds an annual business concept competition. Students must test and develop their business concept using the assistance and resources provided by the Center of Entrepreneurship & Innovation. Participants are then given the opportunity to present their business to a panel of entrepreneurs, CEO's, venture capitalists, angel investors, and executives. Three students will be selected from this first competition. 

Three initial winners are selected by the panel for further research & development. In 2014 these initial winners were Jordon Johnson, GoProShot, Jordan Rhodes, Healthier Youth and Luke Van Drunen, Neighborhood Designs will be flown to Naples, Florida during spring break. Each contestant then presents their updated business concept to a panel of UW Oshkosh alumni entrepreneurs and other executives. The student winner will receive seed money, the first place winner will receive $10,000, second place will receive $5,000 and third place $2,500.

Congratulations to our students, on March 26, 2014 awards were given as follows:

Luke Van Drunen $2,500
