Chemistry majors present at National Conference on Undergraduate Research

The 31st annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research  was April 5-7, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee.

Amanda Leichtfuss (Dr Schuttlefield Christus, faculty mentor) presented “Struvite Formation from Simulated Anthropogenic Wastewater and Naturally Occurring Inorganic Magnesium Materials.”

Wesley Morioka (Dr. Bianchetti, faculty mentor) presented “Elucidating the Role of the 4-Coumarate: Co-a Ligase Enzyme in Plant Cell Wall Biosynthesis.” He also presented his poster at the Wisconsin State Capitol Rotunda on April 12.

Marissa Munoz (Dr. Kedrowski, faculty mentor) presented “Synthesis of Non-Natural Amino Acids.”
