The UW Oshkosh Department of Chemistry offers American Chemical Society-certified bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, as well as chemistry with an emphasis in biomolecular science (for those interested in medical fields), and chemistry–secondary education.

Goals and Objectives of the Department
To provide a high-quality, challenging, and modern curriculum which will prepare students for graduate/professional studies and employment in chemistry or related fields.
To offer courses that attract, challenge, and serve students majoring in disciplines other than chemistry, including providing courses that fulfill general education requirements for both the associate and bachelor’s degrees.
To promote the professional development of its faculty and staff by encouraging and supporting their scholarly and research activities.
To encourage and support undergraduate students to participate in research activities.
To maintain and enhance sustainable outreach activities through the use of government, University, local business and community liaisons.

Location and Hours

Chemistry Department offices and labs are on the 4th floor of Halsey Science Center.
