Possible Course Sequence for Biomolecular Science emphasis
Course offerings may change from year to year so these exact models may not be possible. Chem 315 and Chem 365 are not offered on predictable cycles; they are scheduled only when there is sufficient demand. You must meet your Chemistry Department academic adviser each semester to create your personal plan.
There are several
possible different routes through the requirements for the
major.
The courses build on each other:
Chemistry 106 is a prerequisite for all higher numbered chemistry
courses and Biol 323. Biol 323 is a prerequisite for Biol 343.
Calculus I and Physics II are prerequisites for Biophysical Chemistry.
Version A is more like the sequences followed for the professional chemistry emphasis, thus delaying a final decision on which emphasis to declare. Version B starts with more biology and delays the physics.
