Opportunities, Employment and VolunteersThe Center for Career Development and Employability Training (CCDET) offers a broad range of opportunities for all. These take the form of volunteer work experience options or internships, as well as employment opportunies. CCDET's community involvement provides UW Oshkosh students opportunities for hands-on experience through:

Volunteer OpportunitiesTruancy Intervention Program Contact Ruth Mauritz, (mauritz@uwosh.edu or 920-424-2146). AmeriCorps Opportunities AmeriCorps members serve in schools and non-profit agencies in Oshkosh and the Fox Valley. Members may tutor, mentor, recruit volunteers, and assist organizations to fulfill unmet needs. Full, half, and minimum time positions are available. Members are eligible to receive an educational award at the end of their completed service. Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and Youth Employment Service (YES) WIA and YES programs provide opportunities for mentors and program assistants to work with high school youth and young adults. Mentors will meet approximately an hour a week in various capacities to help program participants meet their educational goals.
